Aquamarine Spikelet Grass

Grass type: Biennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small, light grey and slate grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The long, tapering stalks grow in sparse patches that are resilient.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, aquamarine spikelet.

During the late autumn, it produces very little pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a few medium-sized grains.

It is often home to a particular bird species.
