Caramel
Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This modest-sized fruit tree grows up to 13 feet (4.0 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 43 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a wide, crooked trunk covered in wrinkled, black bark, and inside, the light wood is black with white speckles.
The branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with copious amounts of giant, 8 pointed leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are caramel and pale purple.
In early spring, it produces thick bunches of medium-sized, light grey blossoms with finger-like petals. They are very delicate and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like cheap aftershave.
In mid-summer it produces small, broad, flat fruit. The rough bronze skin is stretchy and very sour, and the crunchy white flesh is overwhelmingly bitter and very juicy. The light brown seeds are small and are scattered throughout the fruit.
The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.

It is overwhelmingly resistant to fire damage.
