Crimsonvine

This big bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 464 feet (141.4 meters) and growing as high as 22 feet (6.7 meters).

It takes 20 months for the gray-green stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and remain soft and fleshy.

The stiff, pointed, leathery leaves reach up to 2.6 feet (79 cm) in length. They are solid florescent green with green edges, and have ripped edges.

During late spring, the bine produces thousands of small blood red flowers.
