Purple

Flower type: Biennial (Stores water in its stem)

This short flower grows up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. Its green stem is thin and straight, and the large, green leaves are long, narrow with smooth edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.

Two large flowers sit at the end of each stem. The flowers are 11 cm (4.3 inches) wide, with purple petals that gradient shift to hazel on the outer edge. The central disk is gold. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 50 curved petals. They fall easily.

It has a delicate scent that smells like freshly baked bread, and it has a modest amount of pollen. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also visited by some specific types of insect.

Once on fire, it burns very quickly.
