Caramel Spine Succulent

This small cactus grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall. The needle-like stem is pink-red, and is covered in handfuls of fine, caramel, hair-like spines. The tear-shaped body is brown, and is covered in lots of rigid amber spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 18 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with purple petals on the lower layer and florescent green petals decorated with intense blue dots on the inner layer. The central disk is peach, grow at the top, reappearing once every 8 years. The flower head is made up of 12 petals in raised layers. It has a delicate scent that smells like freshly baked bread.

The cactus's skin is delicate, the ashy red flesh is rough, and the grey sap is thin and causes severe cramps if consumed.
