Blueleaf Bush
Shrub type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)This average-sized shrub grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall and lives for around 31 years. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has dozens of thick, slanted stems covered in delicate, smooth, dark brown bark, and the wood inside is pale yellow.
The branches are very short and thin that and are covered with large amounts of tiny, wide, leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are either sky blue or turquoise, with drab blue streaks, hardy and covered in fine hairs.
In early summer it produces dozens of large, black blossoms with long, tapering petals. They are sturdy and have a delicate scent that smells like wet dog.
In mid-autumn spherical fruits ripen. The fuzzy pastel purple skin is peel-able and bitter and salty, and the slightly crunchy washed-out green flesh is savoury and syrupy. The black seed is large and sits at the end of the fruit.
