Bronzeberry

This big fruit tree grows up to 36 feet (11.0 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 29 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, wavy trunk covered in ridged, yellow bark, and inside, the very hard wood is white.

The tangled mess of branches are very long and thin and are covered with small bunches of small, asymmetrical leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are bronze and pink.

In early spring, it produces lots of small, pink blossoms with finger-like petals. They are hardy and have the faintest scent that smells like leather.

In mid-summer it produces , oval fruit. The crispy intense green skin is stretchy and bland, and the soft brilliant orange flesh is sour and savoury and very juicy. The yellow seeds are small and are located in the centre of the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
