Copperleaf

This short leaf succulent grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall. The very thin stem is emerald, and is covered in hundreds of flexible silver spines. The knobbly leaves are found in subtle yellow and copper varieties. Large amounts of them grow on thick, gnarled, brown branches that are tall, rigid and upright. The leaves are rigid, but detach easily.

It is very fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with solid bronze petals and a subtle yellow central disk, grow at the top, reappearing once every 7 years. The flower head is made up of 7 petals in raised layers. It has the faintest scent that smells like rotten meat.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the caramel flesh is rough, and the purple sap is thin.
