Crimson Petal

This short flower grows up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. Its yellow-green stem is very thin, and the large, lime green leaves are fan-like with smooth edges. 19 leaves grow at the base of the stem.

Many medium-sized flowers grow in a bunch at the end of the stem. The flowers are 13 cm (5.1 inches) wide, with solid red petals and a purple central disk. The flower head is made up of 11 petals in raised layers. They are sturdy.

It has an overpowering scent that smells like cheap aftershave, and it has a fair amount of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator.
