Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This large fruit tree grows up to 37 feet (11.3 meters) tall and lives for up to 35 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 45 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, slanted trunk covered in fine, wrinkled, copper-coloured bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is brown.

The small clumps of branches are very long and thick and are covered with thick bunches of huge, very thin leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are solid bronze with indigo patches.

In early spring, it produces large amounts of small, peach blossoms with many layers of petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are hardy and have an intensely strong scent that smells like burning wood.

In late summer it produces large, wide fruit. The sticky crimson skin is thin and inedible, and the crunchy caramel flesh is sweet and syrupy. The beige seed is large and sits at the top of the fruit.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with clear space between them.
