Azureberry

Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This average-sized caudiciform grows up to 57 feet (17.4 meters) tall. The very thin stem is azure, and is covered in dozens of flexible white spines. It has a angular, flat, beige trunk atop a flat ball of rough, exposed roots. The branches are slender and pink-red and trail down across the ground.

The smooth-edged, oval-shaped leaves are vivid purple and light grey. They are resilient, but take little effort to detach.

It is slow growing, taking 23 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with blood red petals and a light grey central disk grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 10 curved petals. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like honeysuckle.

The caudiciform's skin is thick, the aquamarine flesh is rough, and the turquoise sap is thin.
