Bloodvine

This modest-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 45 feet (13.7 meters) and growing as high as 220 feet (67.1 meters).

It takes 11 months for the gray-green stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and are smooth and waxy.

The wide, smooth leaves reach up to 1.4 feet (43 cm) in length. They are yellow-green with blood red tips, and have jagged edges.

During late spring, the bine produces many clusters of small deep purple flowers.
