Embermoss

This orange moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In moorlands, and In heathlands.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is slightly resilient; it can easily endure flooding and draughts.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release thousands of spores.
