Cream Puff Grass

Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This modest-sized, green grass grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The wide stalks grow in small clumps that are flexible.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, cream puff.

During the mid-autumn, it produces very little pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a few large grains.

It blooms only at night.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
