Clingsunflower
Flower type: Annual (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This small flower grows up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. Its orange-yellow stem is very thin, and the giant, orange-yellow leaves are light brown on the underside and are fan-like with toothed edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.
Dozens of giant flowers grow in a bunch at the end of the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with beige petals and a dark orange central disk. The flower head is shaped like a bowl made up of handfuls of widely spaced, narrow petals. They fall easily.
It has an intense scent that smells like baby powder, and it has lots of pollen. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to butterflies.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
Offering it in a bouquet is supposed to bring good luck.
