Coppergrass

Grass type: Annual (Stores water in its stem)

This modest-sized, copper grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The fan-like stalks grow in large clumps that are sturdy and flexible.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, magenta tuft.

During the late summer, it produces lots of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of tiny grains.

It is suitable for making strong rope
The stems are covered in large spikes.
