Azureleaf Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This large leaf succulent grows up to 85 feet (25.9 meters) tall. The fan-like stem is gray-green, and is covered in dozens of rigid washed-out blue spines. The rounded-edged, very thin leaves are generally azure. Small amounts of them grow from the base like a cabbage. The leaves are flimsy, but easily come away when pulled.

It is very fast growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with alternating petals of violet and indigo, with an amber central disk, grow at the top, reappearing once every 3 years. The flower head is made up of 34 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight dish. It has a weak scent that smells like coffee.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the aquamarine flesh is soft, and the cream sap is thin.
