Copper Moss

This copper moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In heathlands, On trees, and In bogs.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is very rigid.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release dozens of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
