Coppervine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short bine is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 14 feet (4.3 meters) and growing as high as 123 feet (37.5 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.

It takes 9 months for the red stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are thick and twisted.

The broad, flat, clammy leaves reach up to 2 inches (5 cm) in length. They are olive at the bottom and turquoise with copper edges at the top, and have rounded edges.

During late spring, the bine produces balls of average aquamarine flowers, and during the early autumn, after flowering, it produces lots of large fruits.
