Copperflower

This big flower grows up to 3.6 feet (1.1 meters) tall. Its copper stems grow in bunches of 8 and are wispy and straight, and the miniature, gray-green leaves are light yellow-green on the underside and are thin with smooth edges. The leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.

Each stem splits 1 to 4 times; a single large flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 66 cm (26.0 inches) wide, with petals that are generally olive; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour. The flower head is made up of 22 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight sphere. They are very delicate.

It has an overpowering scent that smells like citrus, and it has lots of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind.
