Crimson Grass

Grass type: Annual (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This small, pink-red grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The long, narrow stalks grow in sparse patches that are robust and they spread and grow quickly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, azure spikelet.

During the late autumn, it produces very little pollen, but can cause allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a few large grains.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It commonly grows in large patches.
It can absorb up to 15 times its own weight in water.
It is difficult to cut through.
