Aquamarine Sage

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 45 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many sturdy, straight stems covered in hard, smooth, silver bark, and the wood inside is brown.

The branches are very short, thin and wispy with thousands of twigs that and are covered with thick bunches of large, sickle shaped, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are purple at the bottom and brown with aquamarine edges at the top, strong and flexible and sticky.

It produces hundreds of tiny, pink flowers with cylindrical petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like cinnamon. In early autumn it forms smalllime, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.
