Bloodvine

This average-sized cactus grows up to 37 feet (11.3 meters) tall. The very narrow, elongated stem is lime or dark brown, and is covered in copious amounts of rigid blood red spines. The round body is gray, and is covered in large amounts of flexible hazel spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 15 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with solid beige petals and a green central disk, grow at the top, reappearing once every 7 years. The flower head is made up of 10 petals in raised layers. It has a delicate scent that smells like wet dog.

The cactus's skin is delicate, the bold purple flesh is leathery, and the lilac sap is thin.
