Golden Moss

This orange-yellow moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In bogs, On trees, and In damp forests.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they spread and grow quickly, and is very flexible; it is very difficult to kill.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release millions of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
