Crimson Moss

This pink-red moss is commonly found blanketing small areas On rotten logs, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is extremely durable; it can easily endure being trodden on.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release hundred of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
