Blue Moss

This blue moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps On rotten logs, In heathlands, and In damp forests.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is overwhelmingly hardy.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release thousands of spores.
