Copper Spine Succulent
Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This small caudiciform grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The very thick stem is copper, and is covered in brittle bright green spines. The straight, light brown trunk can grow to as much as 2 feet (61.0 cm) in diameter in the middle. Its yellow-green branches trail down towards the ground and start growing three quarters of the way up the stem.
The copious amounts of irregular-edged, finger-like leaves are caramel and faded purple. They are flexible, and are very difficult to pull away.
It is very fast growing, taking 6 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are sky blue on the edges and yellow at the center, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 13 curved petals. It has an overpowering scent that smells like lemon.
The caudiciform's skin is tough, the aquamarine flesh is slimy, and the aquamarine sap is thin.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
It is frequently struck by lightning.
