Marsh Crescent Moss

This gray-green moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In marshes.
It is average-sized, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is overwhelmingly strong; it can easily endure flooding and draughts.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release millions of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
