Whispering Willow

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 27 years. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several stocky, crooked stems covered in ridged, light brown bark, and the wood inside is white with black speckles.

The branches are very short and slender with thousands of twigs that and are covered with handfuls of tiny, wispy, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of green that gradient shifts to brown at the top, durable and fuzzy.

In mid-spring it produces bunches of medium-sized, lime flowers with long, tapering petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are sturdy and have a strong scent that smells like a newborn baby.
