Bloodthorn Cactus
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This modest-sized cactus grows up to 41 feet (12.5 meters) tall. It splits randomly along the body to form 3 slender, pointed stems. Each stem is pink-red, and is covered in copious amounts of rigid cyan spines. The tear-shaped body is burgundy, and is covered in brittle olive spines.
It is fast growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with green petals and a yellow center grows at the top, reappearing once every 10 years. The flower head is largely flat with several raised narrow petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like blood.
The cactus's skin is thick, the gentle green flesh is leathery, and the brilliant blue sap is thin.
It comes in 79 varieties.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
