Silver Willowfern

This giant shrub grows up to 14 feet (4.3 meters) tall and lives for around 49 years. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many slender, wonky stems covered in knobbly, silver bark, and the wood inside is brown.

The branches are very long and thin with thousands of twigs that and are covered with thick bunches of giant, fan-like, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are bronze and sky blue, flexible and covered in fine hairs.

In early summer it produces balls of small, grey flowers with pleated petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have a mildly strong scent that smells like candle wax.
