Cocoacauda

This large caudiciform grows up to 101 feet (30.8 meters) tall. The very narrow, elongated stem is gray and lime green, and is dotted with small silver spines. It has a wonky, very thick, orange trunk atop a wide web of ridged, exposed roots. The branches are thin and brown and are short and thick.

The jagged-edged, long, tapering leaves are deep green with olive tips. They are fairly frail, and easily come away when pulled.

It is steady-growing, taking 9 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with cream petals and a hazel central disk grow at the top, reappearing once every 3 years. The flower head is made up of handfuls of petals in raised layers. It has an overpowering scent that smells like coconut.

The caudiciform's skin is delicate, the blood red flesh is rough, and the aquamarine sap is thin.
