Marshfire Moss

This yellow-green moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In marshes.
It is big, growing up to 10 inches (25 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is extremely robust; it can easily endure flooding and draughts.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release hundred of spores.
