Bloodspine Cactus

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This big cactus grows up to 83 feet (25.3 meters) tall. The very thick stem is gray, and is covered in thick bunches of flexible blood red spines.

It is very fast growing, taking 3 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with sky blue petals on the lower layer and magenta petals decorated with orange dots on the inner layer. The central disk is red grows at the top, reappearing after 5 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of 46 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight sphere. It has a faint scent that smells like marzipan.

The cactus's skin is very thick, the beige flesh is soft, and the peach sap is thin.

It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
