Copperstar Flower
Flower type: Biennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This modest-sized flower grows up to 1.7 feet (51 cm) tall. Its yellow-green stem is thin and splits into 5 branching stems three quarters of the way up, and the huge, copper leaves are thin with wavy edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the stem.
Two large flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 16 cm (6.3 inches) wide, with petals that are either turquoise or slate, with a yellow center. The flower head is shaped like a star made up of handfuls of tightly layered, round-tipped petals. They are hardy.
