Bloodfire Cactus

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This modest-sized cactus grows up to 37 feet (11.3 meters) tall. The thick stem is gray-green, and is covered in sharp spines. The spherical body is blood red, and is covered in large amounts of fine, beige, hair-like spines.

It is slow growing, taking 3 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with caramel petals that gradient shift to cream on the outer edge. The central disk is lilac, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of handfuls of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight cube. It has an overpowering scent that smells like petrol.

The cactus's skin is thin, the beige flesh is rough, and the blood red sap is thin.

It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
