Crimson Bog Moss

This red moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In bogs, In rainy mountain ranges, and On rotten logs.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is slightly delicate.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release thousands of spores.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
The stems are covered in large spikes.
