Blood Cactus

This small cactus grows up to 11 feet (3.4 meters) tall. The asymmetrical stem is green, and is covered in brittle brown spines. The spherical body is orange, and is covered in brittle brown spines.

It is slow growing, taking 32 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with light brown petals and a lilac central disk grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a sphere made up of 14 tightly layered, narrow petals. It has a mildly strong scent that smells like fruity.

The cactus's skin is extremely thick, the yellow flesh is rough, and the indigo sap is thin.
