Copper Zigzag Succulent

This average-sized caudiciform grows up to 34 feet (10.4 meters) tall. The slender, pointed stem is lime green, and is covered in dozens of rigid light brown spines. It has a straight, bulbous, yellow trunk atop a stumpy web of smooth, exposed roots. The branches are thick, gnarled and brown and are very short, thin and wispy.

The smooth-edged, wide leaves are either cream or beige, with crimson zig-zags. They are light, but take little effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 3 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with each petal a slightly different shade of copper grows at the top, reappearing after 9 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 26 curved petals. It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like a newborn baby.

The caudiciform's skin is delicate, the bold purple flesh is rough, and the blue sap is thin.
