Clinging Firebloom

Flower type: Annual (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This large flower grows up to 6.8 feet (2.1 meters) tall. Its moss green stems grow in bunches of 7 and are thin with a curved tip, and the large, orange leaves are slender, pointed with serrated edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

A single tiny flower sits at the end of the stem. The flowers are 80 cm (31.5 inches) wide, with solid ashy yellow petals decorated with yellow lines and a peach central disk. The flower head is made up of 11 petals in raised layers. They detach easily.

It has a strong scent that smells like cheap aftershave, and it has a fair amount of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird and is ignored by most insect species.

Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.

It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
