Clinging Amberflower

Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This modest-sized flower grows up to 1.3 feet (41 cm) tall. Its amber stem is very thick, and the large, orange-yellow leaves are dark grey on the underside and are spiral with smooth edges. The leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.

Two large flowers sit at the end of each stem. The flowers are 13 cm (5.1 inches) wide, with beige petals and an azure central disk. The flower head is made up of 43 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight star. They fall easily.

It has an overpowering scent that smells like mint, and it has very little pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.

It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if it falls or if its limbs are knocked off.
