Bloodfire Agave

This giant leaf succulent grows up to 123 feet (37.5 meters) tall. The tapering stem is hazel and faded orange, and is covered in hundreds of fine, blood red, hair-like spines. The knobbly leaves are found in olive, crimson and azure varieties. Very large amounts of them grow on thick, orange branches that are short stubs. The leaves are flimsy, but are very difficult to pull away.

It is steady-growing, taking 18 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with amber petals that gradient shift to indigo on the outer edge. The central disk is azure grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of many petals in raised layers. It has an overpowering scent that smells like coffee.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the black flesh is slimy, and the red sap is thin.
