Crimson Spire Cactus

This small cactus grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall. The very thin stem is lime green, and is covered in brittle vibrant red spines. The cuboid body is pink-red, and is covered in dozens of flexible cyan spines.

It is very slow growing, taking 44 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with solid olive petals and a peach central disk grow at the top, reappearing after 10 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of 11 petals in raised layers. It has a powerful scent that smells like rotten egg.

The cactus's skin is extremely thick, the purple flesh is rubbery, and the drab green sap is thin.
