Climbing Flamevine

This big bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 486 feet (148.1 meters) and growing as high as 17 feet (5.2 meters). It prefers to grow on man-made objects.

It takes 3 years for the silver stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 1.4 feet (43 cm) and are smooth and waxy.

The very narrow and elongated, sticky leaves reach up to 1.9 feet (58 cm) in length. They are a shade of hazel or green that gradient shifts to orange at the top, and have jagged edges.

During late spring, the bine produces thousands of large red flowers.
