Copper Moss

This copper moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In rainy mountain ranges, and On trees.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is extremely delicate.
When mature, emerald triangular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release thousands of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
