Crimson Vine

This small vine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 23 feet (7.0 meters) and growing as high as 124 feet (37.8 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.

It takes 4 months for the red stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are smooth and woody.

The needle-like, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 2 inches (5 cm) in length. They are a shade of crimson or indigo that gradient shifts to lime at the top, and have irregular edges.
