Caramel Tuftgrass

Grass type: Annual (Stores water in its leaves)

This average-sized, caramel grass grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall. The circular stalks grow in thin clumps that are resilient.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, white tuft.

During the early summer, it produces copious amounts of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of medium-sized grains.

The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
It is suitable for making strong rope
