Copper Marsh Moss

This copper moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps In marshes, and In damp forests.
It is giant, growing up to 1.6 feet (48 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is overwhelmingly flimsy; it dislikes being stepped on.
When mature, emerald heart-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release millions of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
