Burgundy Peachvine

This average-sized shrub grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall and lives for around 33 years. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has many long and flexible, angular stems covered in smooth, burgundy and brown bark, and the wood inside is gray.

The branches are very long and thick with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of small, circular, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are solid peach with dark purple dots, frail and crispy.

In mid-spring it produces hundreds of small, pink blossoms with 3 oval-shaped shaped petals. They are sturdy and have an overpowering scent that smells like rotten meat.

In early autumn tiny long, curved fruits ripen. The fuzzy cyan skin is thin and inedible, and the very soft grey flesh is sweet and sticky. The silver seeds are small and are scattered throughout the fruit.
