Violetvine

This large creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 117 feet (35.7 meters) and growing as high as 112 feet (34.1 meters).

It takes 2 years for the copper stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 3 inches (8 cm) and are hard and brittle.

The thick, crispy leaves reach up to 2.8 feet (84 cm) in length. They are turquoise and magenta, and have toothed edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces many tiny olive flowers.
